It is our goal to inform the community about your police department's philosophy, programs, and operations. With this knowledge, the police and the community can work together in making our community a better place to live. We are confronted with community growth that requires a strong community policing effort to meet the present and future demands for police services. Working together, we can meet this challenge.

Arrest for Vehicle Break-ins, Theft of Property, and Drug Charge

Pursuant to an investigation by criminal investigators into break-ins and theft of property, two Mountain Home residents have been charged. On October 8, 2012, several reports of break-ins and stolen property in Southern Meadows subdivision were received by the police department. On October 21, 2012, a motorcycle was reported stolen in Southern Meadows subdivision.

On October 23, 2012, Mountain Home police stopped a motorcycle. The driver, Jacob Lipe 18, was charged with reckless driving and possession of the stolen motorcycle.

On October 24, a search warrant was executed at the home of Jacob Lipe in Mountain Home. During the search, evidence was found connecting the stolen motorcycle to the residence. Stolen property from the October 8 reports (military police badge), items consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine, and stolen property (wrist watch) from an October 16 report received from the Indian Creek subdivision were also located. On October, 26 the investigation led to the recovery of a handgun reported stolen from Southern Meadows. The search warrant and recovery of evidence led to another suspect, Clinton J Williams 41, living in the same residence.

The following charges were filed:

Jacob Lipe

  • Theft by Receiving, class D felony, released on $2,500 bond and later arrested again after filing additional charges pursuant to the investigation.
  • Theft of Property, class D felony
  • Defacing a Firearm, class D felony (defacing serial number)
  • Currently incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond

Clinton J Williams

  • Criminal Attempt to Manufacture Methamphetamine, class B felony
  • Theft by Receiving, class D felony
  • Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons, class D felony
  • Currently¬† incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond

The investigation is continuing.
