The police department is responsible for providing police services to the residents of our city and the many visitors enjoying tourism and trade in Mountain Home, Arkansas. If we can assist you, contact us. Service is our only product and we strive to make it the best.

It is our goal to inform the community about your police department's philosophy, programs, and operations. With this knowledge, the police and the community can work together in making our community a better place to live. We are confronted with community growth that requires a strong community policing effort to meet the present and future demands for police services. Working together, we can meet this challenge.

Search warrant leads to multiple drug charges

Today, officers with the Mountain Home Police Department, the Arkansas State Police, and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at 1209 Maple Street in Mountain Home. The search warrant was obtained following a two month investigation.

 Jonathan D Dwyer, 34 of the residence, was arrested without incident and charged with the following offenses: 

Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), 3 counts, class felony 

Distribution of Controlled Substances Near Certain Facilities (Public School), 2 counts, unclassified felony enhancement 

Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute (Marijuana), class D felony

 Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute (Oxycontin), class C felony

 Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute (Oxycodone), class B felony 

Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute (Suboxone), class C felony 

Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) Class D Felony 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, class D felony

 Dwyer was incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center with Bond set at $75,000.
