The police department is responsible for providing police services to the residents of our city and the many visitors enjoying tourism and trade in Mountain Home, Arkansas. If we can assist you, contact us. Service is our only product and we strive to make it the best.

It is our goal to inform the community about your police department's philosophy, programs, and operations. With this knowledge, the police and the community can work together in making our community a better place to live. We are confronted with community growth that requires a strong community policing effort to meet the present and future demands for police services. Working together, we can meet this challenge.

2 Suspects Arrested for Drug Offenses

On Thursday, October 24th, officers with the Mountain Home Police Department and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force arrested Jacob Luke Anderson (19) from Bexar, Arkansas and Lisa D Pederson (38) of Cotter, Arkansas. The arrests were made pursuant to a drug investigation into drug activity. The Arkansas State Police were involved in the investigation of the two suspects. Both subjects were charged with the following criminal offenses:

Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine,) Class B Felony 

Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone,) Class C Felony 

Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Class D Felony 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class D Felony 

Jacob Luke Anderson and Lisa D Pederson were incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Facility. Anderson’s bond was set at $250,000 and Pederson’s bond was set at $10,000.
