The police department is responsible for providing police services to the residents of our city and the many visitors enjoying tourism and trade in Mountain Home, Arkansas. If we can assist you, contact us. Service is our only product and we strive to make it the best.

It is our goal to inform the community about your police department's philosophy, programs, and operations. With this knowledge, the police and the community can work together in making our community a better place to live. We are confronted with community growth that requires a strong community policing effort to meet the present and future demands for police services. Working together, we can meet this challenge.

Drug investigation and search warrant results with 3 individuals arrested

On Friday, May 23rd, 2014, officers with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force, and Mountain Home Police Department, served a search warrant at the home of JESSIE D. MOORE on Highway 5, south of Mountain Home. During the search of the residence, several individuals were located inside the residence. A quantity of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property was located at the residence. The search warrant was served pursuant to a two-month investigation by the agencies. An investigation into the stolen property is continuing.  

The following suspects were charged as a result of the investigation and search warrant:  

JESSIE D. MOORE, female, 32 of Mountain Home

  • Delivery of a Controlled Substance, class B felony (5 counts)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), class A felony
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts)
  • Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, class Y felony
  • Possession of prescribed narcotic outside of container

ROBERT L. HENSCHELL, male, 28 of Mountain Home

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), class A felony
  • Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, class Y felony

CHELSE HUGHES, 42 of Mountain Home

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance, misdemeanor (2 counts)

The three suspects were incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center with the following bonds set:

  • MOORE $15,000
  • HENSCHELL $15,000
  • HUGHES $1,370
