It is our goal to inform the community about your police department's philosophy, programs, and operations. With this knowledge, the police and the community can work together in making our community a better place to live. We are confronted with community growth that requires a strong community policing effort to meet the present and future demands for police services. Working together, we can meet this challenge.

Firearms, drugs, and $20,000 seized in drug arrest

On Tuesday, September 2, 2014, Officers with the Mountain Home Police Department, the Arkansas State Police, and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force served a search warrant at an apartment complex on Dyer Street. The execution of the search warrant was the result of a two-month investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotics. During the search, MARK A BLAND, 45 of Mountain Home was located at the apartment and arrested without incident. In addition to seizing approximately 3 pounds of Marijuana, officers located and seized a quantity of Hallucinogen Mushrooms, loaded firearms, and over $20,000 in US Currency. Bland was charged with Delivery of Controlled Substances (Class D Felonies)-3 Counts, Delivery of Controlled Substances (Class C Felonies)-2 Counts, Distribution of Controlled Substances Near Certain Facilities (Church) (Felony Enhancement)-4 Counts, Possession of a Controlled Substance With intent to Distribute (Class C Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hallucinogen) (Class C Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class D Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor), and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms(Class Y Felony),.

Bland was incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Facility with bond set at $50,000.
