Police respond to 911 call: person with gun at local school

At 7:29 am the police department was dispatched to a 911 call that was placed by a person near the Nelson-Wilkes-Herron school building. The caller stated there was a male subject pointing a gun at the building. Officers from the Mountain Home Police Department, Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, and the Arkansas State Police responded to the area.

 

Two male juveniles from Mountain Home, one 17 years of age and one 15 years of age, were located in a vehicle near the school building and taken in to custody. An airsoft spring pistol and BBs were recovered. The juveniles were transported to the police department. Both Juveniles were charged with Disorderly Conduct and released to Baxter County Juvenile Services.
