Published: September 20, 2010

Press Release

September 20, 2010

On 9/18/10 at approximately 11:00 AM, police responded to Harp’s Pharmacy in response to a reported theft.  Initially, the suspect entered the pharmacy, sat down and waited for a short period of time. While waiting, he used an alias and stated he was waiting for a prescription. As an employee checked their computer for the prescription, the suspect jumped over the counter and grabbed a bottle containing 136 hydrocodone pills.

Two employees yelled at the suspect and chased him as he jumped over the counter and exited the pharmacy. The suspect entered his vehicle and backed all the way to Hwy 62 and fled the area.

Later in the day, the suspect’s vehicle was located by patrol officers and towed. The suspect was identified utilizing his vehicle and the pharmacy’s security video. The suspect was not in the vehicle at the time it was located. Investigators are pursuing criminal charges through the warrant process.
