The police department is responsible for providing police services to the residents of our city and the many visitors enjoying tourism and trade in Mountain Home, Arkansas. If we can assist you, contact us. Service is our only product and we strive to make it the best.

It is our goal to inform the community about your police department's philosophy, programs, and operations. With this knowledge, the police and the community can work together in making our community a better place to live. We are confronted with community growth that requires a strong community policing effort to meet the present and future demands for police services. Working together, we can meet this challenge.

Individuals charged with multiple drug offenses

Press Release

Pursuant to a joint investigation between the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and the Mountain Home Police Department, two Mountain Home men were arrested on 11/23/10. The following are the names of the individuals arrested and criminal charges filed.

Wesley Steve Launius, 37

  • Delivery of Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone), Class B felony (3 counts)
  • Delivery of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Class Y felony
  • Distribution Near Certain Facilities, Unclassified felony
  • Bond set at $15,000                                                          

 Stephan A Nolan, 30

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) with Intent to Distribute, Class Y felony
  • Bond is set at $25,000

Both individuals were incarcerated into the Baxter County Detention Center

During an unrelated traffic stop on 11/23/10 at the intersection of Cardinal Drive and East First Street by a Mountain Home police officer, the driver was charged with several criminal and traffic offenses. During a search of the vehicle, Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Darvocet were located.

William E Endres, 31 of Mountain Home, was charged with the following.

  • Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Class Y felony
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class C felony
  • Possession of Controlled Substance ( Marijuana), Class A misdemeanor
  • Possession of Controlled Substance (Darvocet),  Class A misdemeanor
  • No Proof of Liability Insurance
  • No Seatbelt 

He was incarcerated into the Baxter County Detention Center on a $5,390 bond.
