It is our goal to inform the community about your police department's philosophy, programs, and operations. With this knowledge, the police and the community can work together in making our community a better place to live. We are confronted with community growth that requires a strong community policing effort to meet the present and future demands for police services. Working together, we can meet this challenge.

Execution of search warrant results in drug arrest

On Wednesday, July 20, officers from the Mountain Home Police Department, Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, and 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in Mountain Home. The search warrant was executed pursuant to an investigation involving the manufacturing and distribution of methamphetamine.

Christopher R Behrens, w/m, 37 of Mountain Home was charged with the following drug offenses:

Manufacturing Methamphetamine, class Y felony

Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, class Y felony

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with the Intent to Manufacture Meth, class B felony

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, class C felony

Manufacture of Controlled Substances Near Certain Facilities, unclassified 

Manufacture of Controlled Substances in the Presence of Minors, unclassified

Behrens was incarcerated into the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $150,000 bond.
