The police department is responsible for providing police services to the residents of our city and the many visitors enjoying tourism and trade in Mountain Home, Arkansas. If we can assist you, contact us. Service is our only product and we strive to make it the best.

It is our goal to inform the community about your police department's philosophy, programs, and operations. With this knowledge, the police and the community can work together in making our community a better place to live. We are confronted with community growth that requires a strong community policing effort to meet the present and future demands for police services. Working together, we can meet this challenge.

Aggravated assault charges filed pursuant to knife incident

On 11/21/15 at approximately 9:30 pm, the police department received a call from a local apartment complex. It was reported that John Rick, 46 of Mountain Home, forced his way into the apartment of his former girlfriend.

Major Meth Bust
Published: September 3, 2015
On 9/1/15, officers with the Drug Enforcement Agency, 14th Judicial Drug Task Force, Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Department of Corrections, and the Mountain Home Police Department arrested 3 suspects on drug charges.

"Laura's Card" New Domestic Violence Law Passed During 2015

If you are a victim of domestic violence, the following information may be helpful. If a domestic violence call requires a law enforcement response, Laura’s Card will be distributed as required by law. Other law enforcement actions may be taken, including, but not limited to, arrest of the suspect, obtaining medical assistance, and making referrals to other area agencies that provide assistance for domestic violence victims.
