Child safety seats are available for loan, free of charge. This program is primarily funded with grant funds from the Arkansas Highway Safety Office of the Arkansas State Police. Seat belt and child safety seat clinics are held periodically in cooperation with Safe Kids of North Arkansas. The clinics will be advertised through the local media.
When you come to the police department for a child safety seat, we ask that you bring your child and the vehicle used to transport the child. The department’s technician will be able to properly install the seat.
The department can offer advice in transporting children with special health care needs. The technician can play an important role in facilitating proper occupant protection for the child.
For an appointment with the child safety seat technician, call 870-425-6336 or send an email to Sergeant Sam Seamans.
NOTICE
We attempt to have child safety seats available throughout the year. Sometimes, child safety seats may not be available as our supply is exhausted. Under this grant program, funds can only be applied for once each year.
