Crime Mapping Purpose

The crime trend map is provided below.

Providing crime information on a map of the city is an additional way to inform our community on crime trends. Armed with this information, citizens will become aware of crime trends in their particular area and heighten their awareness for personal and property protection. Additionally, it's our effort to increase the reporting of information from the community to the police department which will assist in solving crimes and the implementation of preventive measures to reduce future crimes.

In an effort to establish the latest crime trends, only data covering the last 30 to 40 days will be displayed on the crime trend map. The crimes listed on the map are crimes meeting the following criteria and are the most serious crimes committed in our city.
